Today, I started the week simple with a word counter. The page displays a running word count at the top of the screen. This project is similar to the word generator that I did a few weeks ago, a user types in a textbox, and something is displayed.
My word counter uses HTML’s “oninput” action, when the user enters anything into the textbox a JavaScript function is run. This function takes the content of the textbox, separates it by spaces, and puts it into an array. The length of the array, or word count, is placed in a variable for display.
