I’m nearing the end of my Web Technology degree and thinking about what I want to do next. Obviously, I’d like to be successful, but first I need to decide what success would look like for me. When I worked at my internship over the summer, I learned that I prefer working in an office with a team over working independently as a coder. I also learned that I enjoy working with WordPress, and want to continue working with it. Work success after graduation would be working in an office with a team building WordPress sites, where I could code custom blocks.
As the final part of my degree, I’m building my portfolio. My goal is to have something I can show employers that not only gives them an idea of what I can do, but also a bit of insight into who I am. This blog is a part of that, my hope is that future employers will be able to get an idea of what kind of person I am and how I’d fit into their business, while also showcasing my skills.
